Proud New Owner of 3-Disc Blu-ray
Well,
My wife is a manager with Blockbuster. We pre-ordered Star Trek a few weeks back. Long story short, the Blu-rays arrived today. The store manager was kind enough to respect my obsession... I'm picking it up after work. I know at least one person out there reading this is very jealous. The wait is finally over!

Shame shame shame on you!!!! Seriously, she should be careful distributing early. I worked for BB a long time ago and they frowned on the practice big time. Even with us little peons in the stores.
Anyways, I selected free-shipping when I bought it at amazon because I thought it was a little pricey and waiting a week or two was no big deal. But they nicely lowered the price so I changed it back to regular shipping today and it was still less than I was originally going to pay. Unfortunately I will be out of town when it arrives but I will be watching it the night I get back. Hate to say it but its already a torrent and has 1000's of leechers/seeders. Just as bad as MW2 XBOX is.

I have one question:
Why is the digital copy not HD? I have a 1080p Dell monitor, two crossfire ATI Radeon HD video cards... and yet the digital copy displays the quality of digital video disc... cruel.

Make that 2 jealous people. I'm surprised they let it go early - I remember getting boxes in at the bookstore threatening death & dismemberment if Anne Rice's or JK Rowling's books were sold even a minute early.
