Bad times, not a nice thought.

As for Tuvix, the episode did focus 1st on how it happened and 2nd on the crew interactions and the decision to kill him. Would have been nice to see the awkwardness of the crew a bit more, though less of Kes she was just annoying.

Kes was just annoying - end of story.
I was glad they binned her for Seven and not for the reason most of you chaps are glad they binned her for Seven

I agree, but I also found Jennifer Lien to a very pretty lady as well. Didn't care for the Kes character though.

The concept of Kes was a good one, just poorly written and poorly used.

Elf or baywatch babe ... that's an easy choice.
Kes did not stick out but brought such a wonderful sense of friendliness and fascination into the show. Without her the Doctor wouldn't have become who he is and I prefer his subtle learning moments with Kes to the blunt teaching moments with Seven.

I agree. If Kes had not stuck up for the doc and had she not seen that the doc had self-awareness, he would not have become the character that he did but I think my main complaint with her was that I couldn't see why she would be with Neelix. Even though I've read the background novel "Mosaic", and how he saved her life, it still eludes me.

Ugh. Neelix...he's all of the bad aspects of Star Trek balled into one.

I'd have chucked him out an airlock on episode 2... if I had allowed him on my ship in the first place.

Some women go for the masculine and some for the cutie type. He can cook, he likes children, there are worse men.
When the writers/characters saw that the relationship did not progress, they ended it.
In general I always like to see interspecies relationships in Trek. The most touching one is in the ENT finale, Terra Prime.
