I think we should try to bring this guy in as a partner, he's got the bankroll.

I agree.

Had a feeling that Halcyon would have to cough up the rights after the messes that were SCC and Salvation. Mind you, I thought SCC was quite good, but sadly others did not...

Sounds like Joss Wheadon might be interested in buying the franchise for, get this: TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS... let me repeat that again: TEN...THOUSAND...DOLLARS! Seriously, we could buy the franchise if we all wanted to.

Not a bad analysis.

if it wasnt for his on set blowout, I bet the franchise would've been saved. But then again, who knows.

Not necessarily.

The story was weak. The movie was way too PG-13 for a Terminator movie. No Arnold=lower box office. Christian Bale played John Connor exactly like Batman/Bruce Wayne. Franchise fatiuge had clearly already set in with the failure of the TV show.

It would really be best to put Terminator into a long rest, if not quit altogether. There's no way they'll ever top the first two.

If there is one franchise that needs a reboot its Terminator, either that or find a way to resolve all of the time travel contradictions.
