Default Marooned by Christie Golden

Has anyone else read Christie Golden's Star Trek Voyager: Marooned?

I love Christie Golden as an author and this is her at her best. It was a really good story and it had a different take on the aliens because some of them were not humanoids. This is one of the best ST novels I have read. I loved Hrrrrl. I wanted to take him home as a pet

It's funny because as much as I enjoy Star Trek television and movies in all of it's incarnations (except TAS, I've never really seen that) I've never read any Star Trek books. Same thing with Star Wars.

You should definitely try TAS sometime. Good stuff! As for the books, I read Trek & Wars.

In response to the topic, I've not read it and can't say I'd ever heard of it.

It's one of the regular novels that came out during Voyagers run.

Kes gets kidnapped and taken to a planet with a difficult to penetrate defense system. Janeway, Torres, Neelix, Paris and a Yellowshirt go down to the planet in a shuttle and get damaged and come across these big bear like aliens who turn out to be very intelligent.

Guess who dies?

It was not her best Trek novel, but it was one of the better VOY novels.

My favourite of her novels so far is The Last Round Up

That is definately one of her best.
Her book "Gateways-What Lies Beyond" was one of the best of the Gateways series of Trek books.

The only regular Trek novel I read is that in which they meet the X-men.
Surprisingly this is also the only X-men novel I read.
