Post Shatnerverse Explanation

Even though it's no longer a possibility (at the least extremely unlikely), wouldn't it be cool to canonize the Shatnerverse novels and somehow use them to include Shatner in Trek XI or a future film?

While Shatner's novels (Trek ones written with noted Trek Authors) are fun reads, I don;t want them as cannon. Kirk is dead, let;s leave him dead.

I felt the same about Tasha Yar, and thought brining her back was a dumb idea then and now.

To a degreee, I felt the same about Spock.

Data too. If you want to kill a charter, fine. But don't cheapen them by "bringing them back."

"...Denny Crane, I was a Starship commander!"
