Kes was a good idea, but in the end was a real nowhere charater.

The idea behind the character was interesting, a humanoid with such a short lifespan. It just didn't work for me on the execution of it. I much prefer 7 and her deadpan delivery.

I just thought she was a bit too soft spoken and lacking in va va voom (as an old car advert used to say)

As she got older they turned her into a superhuman freak. One of my least favorite Voyager storylines, by a wide margain.
