The old timeline is blown to Hades and back and frankly whether he likes it or not, Spock prime is going to have to tell the full story to the highest levels of the Federation. Sharing advanced technology may be out but he had better make sure that a lot of councilors who now probably want to hit Romulus while they still can that they don't push the Federation into war. Hell... even WITH the full story, the Klingons would still be sharpening their blades and girding for war.
Spock called himself Selek to preserve what was. But this time he can't just settle on New Montana and stay out of history's way. Heck... He is now one of if not THE senior most experienced diplomats the Vulcans have left.
I merely wondered whether a loyalty as great as that to James Kirk (He risked his life AND Kirk's Captaincy to return Pike to Talos IV mind you.) would compel him to meet with this reality's Pike or would he deem the potential for personal pain (His or Pike's) too great.
I see no reason at all for Spock Prime not to do whatever he wants. This is nothing like a timeline that needs to be diligently preserved. Planets have been destroyed, whole graduating classes of the Academy killed....it's a whole new ball game and Spock Prime should do what he can to help everyone survive and move on.
