Default In Sequel, should Enterprise be set on self destruct or otherwise destroyed or not?

In the Sequel, should the U.S.S. Enterprise be set on self destruct or otherwise destroyed or not?

Blown up in battle?

Explodes from mysterious alien energy?

Accident?

Space mines?

Cosmic force?

Sacrifice?

etc.....

Is it time to blow it up again?

I think so, for second act cliffhanger, but not at the end
exactly, any point in the movie it is destroyed or defeated.

Bugger, a bit too premature to start blowing Enterprises' up now, isn't it?
Hell, I'm all for sacrifice and drama sprinkled about the story, but they just launched this ship....

That's true, but, if there is only 3 movies, I don't want it
done in the third.

Yeah, way too early. The ship needs to have an established history.

No need to destroy it so soon.

Only three movies.....possibly.
That's the problem with internet kids these days...predicting the future out of impatience.
Just because that's the contract for the cast and crew (which is typical for most franchises) doesn't mean three films will be the end.
All you or I, or anyone can do is sit back and wait and see.
Patience is a virtue, mate; let's not sacrifice a brand new ship out of impatience, and the possible number of films set for this crew.

All right, sounds fair.

Who wants to see a Constitution Class, say the Yorktown or Defiant
self destruct?

It would be fun to see in the new FX.

and add to the plot, captain of Lexington forced to destroy his own ship.

U.S.S. Enterprise sent to investigate!

It could show what might happen to Kirk's ship, foreshadow.

The TNG films prove Vince's point.
