Default Things that I have made:

Here is my first feature. This is a ship I actually designed for a friend, they were wanting to write a Star Trek based story, and asked me if I could help them - because I apparently know everything about Star Trek! (almost, but not quite!)

Their idea sort of sounded Fireflyesque, with a motley crew pirating their way around the galaxy, mainly Romulan Space. Romulan, because they wanted real threats, and having it set in Federation space is just too safe! But their commander person was human, and they wanted it to have a Starfleet style vessel.

I asked them to draw a rough sketch of the kind of style they wanted it to be, as they had said that it would be a small ship, and they drew a sort of shoebox with nacelles. Like a TOS shuttle, but bigger. So I said: ''What about, if you don't want a saucer shaped saucer, a sphere?'' And they said: ''A sphere!? Wouldn't that look stupid?'' And I said: ''You underestimate me!''

So then I drew a sideview.And thay said: ''! I love it!''

I decided that as the spherical hulled ship from All Good Things... was a medical vessel, wouldn't it be a nice convention if it became that most spherical hulled ships were more likely to be medical vessels! And since it was supposed to be acting as a cargo vessel of sorts, but also as a pirate vessel - it could not be useless as either a cargo ship or a getaway vehicle. So if it had been a medical vessel in the past, it would have presumably plenty of cargo space!

And as a pirate vessel, it needed to have a defensive means, which would have to be added by the crew. And as Phaser strips are probably very costly for people who could not get them from thr Federation, they could not go for symmetrissism but instead maximum coverage.

And since it is sort of cut off from anything Starfleet, it now has one cannibalised Romulan nacelle casing and some used-to-be-green hull plating.

Oh, and my friend had recently seen the Star Trek film, and was quite taken with the idea of windows instead of solid hull for the viewscreen, particulary as seen on the Kelvin.

The model is only about four and a bit centimetres long (sorry I can't do imperial!).

Thanks!

(Actually it is rather messy in those pictures... Maybe I should put up some smaller ones...)

This ship has no class name, nor a starfleet designation itself - I would welcome any suggestions!

It was renamed by the renegade crew to be: "The Deviant's Revenge!" Which sounds very swashbuckling, but it was a medical vessel before.

I should probably give you an exact timeframe then! I don't know the year, but the story is set recently after Romulus has been destroyed, and the ship itself (You could probably guess) was probably commissioned in the years while the Galaxy class was being developed.

How about Pheonix Class after the first warp ship? Or the Izar Class after Garth Of Izar?
