Default The "Skant"

Your thoughts? The basic idea wasn't bad, but it was unbecoming on either sex.

Those were so bad!

A tunic, I could understand.

kilts even would work...

female crew look good in anything

Troy should have kept hers, her outfits
were bad.

Ditto on Troi.

I actually saw a guy wearing a skant at a convention and his one looked good. He was a naval officer and built like a brick out-house so it hugged his muscles well. I don't think any of stretch fabric uniforms are that flattering unless you have a decent body underneath!

I liked the skant and wished that it could have been incorporated into all of the subsequent 24th-Century uniforms. My only complaint is that I wished the hemline had been a few inches longer for both the female and male versions, but otherwise I would have liked to have seen them continue as variant duty uniforms in DS9, VOY, and the TNG movies.

I agree the idea was good.

I agree that GR made us feel that Starship were, and had to be everything since the assigments were so long.

Except the TNG bridge was too cozy for me.

It looked like they should have a soft couch in there,
instead of the captain's chair and officer's chairs.

I'd like to see a starship , sometime, have the captain's chair, a simple one, off against a side window, similar to an aircraft carrier.

The center chair just gets old.

How about a Starfleet robe uniform? Too restrictive?
It would represent more cultures, though.
