You can speak to the dead?

You are waisting your talent on this board then, you should be on The Montel Williams Show.

It's not my talent. Do you think the great bird of the galaxy would be constrained by the wall of death?

Like the pet store owner in that Simpsons episode where Burns steals the Simpson's greyhound puppies... the owner of the pet store and the 3 employees all posess the unique talent to be able to read pets' minds...

If GR had hopes for something like this, we should too.

I don't know about that...
we're fans not drones. Sure he had a great idea but that doesn't condone the "lemming effect"

Enjoy your individuality. I know I enjoy my own. I don't like everything most people like. I'm okay with that I also don't require others ot enjoy the same thing. Differences make the world intresting, not a threat. Celebrate the differences.

I agree fully with that too. All I'm saying is that GR supported a new direction of Trek. Some fans are discouraged with XI, I understand that. We shouldn't be discouraged by change in something in Trek.

Case in point: TNG. Fans wanted the show stopped because the TOS actors weren't coming back. Look at it now.

What I think it is ...is that those fans aren't afraid of change necessarily...they're afraid of erasure. Erasure of what they were told had happen...Their afraid of the rewriting of the classic truths...

I have to admit...I'm afraid of the "ENTERPRISE EFFECT" on this movie too.
