I think that's why Chakotay's character never worked. Beltran had a snotty attitude to Trek and Trekkers.

Although I have to say that Beltran was an actor I never found that impressive on the show.

There were rumors that Bujold was unhappy on the set from the very beginning--she had problems with her costume, had trouble with all the strange technobabble in the script, and just didn't gel with the cast and crew.

Or at least have really watched an episode to get a good idea of what you're getting into, IMO. I think a big reason why Bujold didn't really work out was that--IIRC--she actually didn't have to audition for the role; she was cast solely on the strength of her earlier work.

I have heard that before..but Trek rumors abound. But after seeing the clip again, I agree 100%.

Shame though, she can be an excellent actress.

Well, it's not really a shame as we ended up with the fabulous Kate Mulgrew. So all's well that ends well.

His attitude might have had an effect upon his bored acting. To me, Beltran and Montgomery (who played overenthusiastic, the other extreme) are the only bad actors who portrayed a main character in Trek.

I thought Bujold looked like too much of a hermaphrodite.
