Stop gangattacking Zim, I have been four times in the theatre too and don't consider the flick to be anything else but mediocre.

It's a fast-paced silly action movie but not sci-fi, that's why some Trekkers like me or Zim don't hold NuTrek in high esteem.

You want burgers, fine, I want a real meal.

Fair enough, I don't hold all existing Trek in high esteem myself. It's arguably been light on substantial fare itself over the years.

But then why do you both keep coming back to the 'burgers'? Medocrity must have an attraction for you both as well. So it can't be that bad.

Or to extend the food metaphor - A meal is comprised of courses. If the new film is but the starter/appetizer, since when is the starter the most substantial part of the meal. Answer - it isn't.

The second course is.

Why is why I agree the next film will have do more in several respects to build on the starter I've so far enjoyed. But I'm not about to write off the whole meal until then.

Mediocre does not mean bad, I enjoyed the burger each time.

I also enjoyed reading a Harry Potter book years ago, but after a few weeks I had forgotten everything. Lord of the Rings on the other hand was a memorable reading experience, a full meal.

And everyone enjoys burgers - that's why so many get eaten. They work for a wider range of diners.

Which keeps the restaurant in business enough so that it may also, on the side, offer something more substantial at times.
