Is the film perfect? No. But no Trek film is, so it's in great company.

Okay, I tell you the things I did like.
Captain Robau (Really he would have Kick Nero's pointy-eared arse!) George Kirk (Although I think the saucer is too flat) U.S.S. Kelvin Urm, I think I see a pattern emerging. Those didn't last long.  Karl Urban as McCoy, and the Kirk/McCoy humour. (Hang on, where'd McCoy go?) Oh yeah, and the soundtrack, tad repetitive in places but not bad. By the way, I only saw the film once. And no, not again anytime soon.

I saw it four times - I found it became more cohesive and enjoyable the more times I saw it.
It enabled me to catch more details etc that were there.
