Yeah. What I need is a good, cheap (as in free download if possible) compositing software program so I can overlay the new cast onto the TOS sets. And add the TOS Enterprise in the place of the Abramsprise. As far as the cutting and editing, I've got that covered. I use Ulead Video Studio and Nero for video editing and DVD authoring. But I don't have any special effects software or compositing software. And I can't afford something like FXHome Visionlab, which would be great. But anyway, if I ever do get to do a "Zim Cut", everyone here will be the first to know.

I be soemone here knows a cheaper altervative. But you probbaly need the TOS-R episodes to work with.

Sorry folks, I do think they could have made the whole Contrived Time Travel Plot and alternate dimension stuff, a lot less confusing by shoving some of that exposition into the first 10 minutes, used the title sequence to get the audience into that alternate reality. Then just concentrated on telling the origin story of Kirk, Spock, McCoy and a few of the other characters, quite a few of the others could have been left.

To me it has a very noticable Paramount shopping list of Star Trek "must haves", to the point where it's basically join-the-dots Trek.
