What moments in the movie do you wish they did differently

Well, since I wouldn't have changed a thing, let me mention what my dad said he would have changed (my dad and I pretty much prophesied that they would make a Star Trek reboot way back in 2005, long story there, so that's why his opinion matters). He said they should have left old Spock and the time travel story totally out of it, because the plot didn't really need either of them. He felt Nero could have been a Romulan from Kirk's era instead (He is not a die-hard trekkie, so he must have forgotten about "Balance of Terror"). He also said that, although this was more a cosmetic change, he would have merely updated the TOS ship and sets instead of redesigning them altogether. He thought the new warp drives on the ship looked like drumsticks
![]() Anywho, that's what HE said. I loved it as is.

I would not change any of the scenes, but they should've left in the scene that explains why young Kirk stole his step dad's car.
Well actually they should've left in all the scenes they took out.

Yep, I think the ship could have been done better. Even if you kept all the components the same, just moved the engineering section a bit further back, and adjusted the nacelles and pylons accordingly. Just my opinion....

No major gripes or wishes they changed things from me.
Actually the one scene that bugs me the most is a guy on the Kelvin engineering deck getting a close-up and then running around a corner into an explosion. Not really a bad scene but it came off super cartoonish and as poor editing. Seriously, that editing issue was probably my biggest gripe with the film. I guess if I stretch I wish the final showdown in space was a little more direct between the Enterprise and the Narada. It was a bit anti-climactic but the escape from the wormhole saved it. |

I'll tell ya what. If I had the software and the knowledge and time on my hands to do that kind of editing, there would indeed be a "Zim Cut" of this movie. And it would be out ASAP.
