I tend to agree.

I thought it was heavily implied that Koloth and Kirk had run into each other numerous times. Though we didn't see him in any other episodes.

Quote:
KOLOTH: Ah, my dear Captain Kirk.
KIRK: My dear Captain Koloth.

Yes...but sadly it was never followed up.

So? I say it makes him worthy of a movie appearance....particularly if we get to hear Chris Pine say "My dear Captain Koloth"

Odo: How did you get in here?
Koloth: I am Koloth.
Odo: That doesn't answer the question.
Koloth: Yes, it does.

A first meeting would be neat.

I'm a proponent of a Klingon antagonist for STXII, with the trio of Kor, Kang and Koloth as the main villains (lieutenants for a behind-the-scenes mastermind).

Maybe Bill Campbell and/or Michael Ansara could have a cameo as Klingon High Council members, or something along those lines.

I already said it in several topics before:

To show Kor + Kang + Koloth is a much better idea than Khan!

A story with them wouldn't be limited, everything would be possible without even touching Canon-questions, there are absolutely no explanations necessary, e.g. on how it is possible that they meet. There are no mistakes you can make Hardcore-Trekkies could complain about.
And I always was a little disappointed that no one ever came on the idea to revive them in any of the previous movies, although there were a lot of Klingon movies.
