I think from the new Movie, I'd have to say the opening shot of the Kelvin moving past the camera, with all of the Sonar Pings and chatter, and that engine sound, almost as musical as it is mechanical.

Also, just before the credits, the raging star, the Narada slowly tumbling in flames, and the tiny shuttles speeding away to safety.

Of all the films, Spock's death scene is still very powerful. To single out one shot, I would have to say it was Kirk and Spock both leaning against the glass at the end.

From the new Movie...when Kirk & Spock are standing side by side in front of the Viewscreen facing Nero.

Of all the movies, I have two favorite shots:

ST XI: The Enterprise rising above Titan. Jaw dropping, especially in IMAX.

ST: TMP: The Klingon battlecruiser preparing to fire photon torpedoes.

I think Titan is clearly the biggest 'iconic' image from the new film!!

I thought of some more.

From TNG episode Deja Q - there is a shot of the Enterprise skirting the planets atmosphere from above.

And same episode, Q's return to celebrate be give everyone cigars, women and the ability to laugh.

From TOS, the reveal of the Space Amoeba. Spock hanging from a tree, and Kirk's face in City after he stops McCoy from saving Edith. With Spock saying "He knows Doctor, he knows."

celticharchie, those are all great moments. The final moments of City on the Edge of Forever constitute some of the best drama in Star Trek. Definately a heartbreaker.

Thanks. It's not difficult to find great moments from Trek.

One from DS9...Emisary - Sisko being pulled away from Jennifer as the Saratoga is abandoned. The noise Avery made in that scene always chokes me up.
