Smile Do you have a favorite SHOT that makes you go whoa!

Do you have a favorite "shot" from all the ST movies or series? I don't mean a scene, i mean just a shot that when you see it you go, "Whoa!" or one that you just LOVE?

The shot that i just love is from Generations (yes, i know, you hate the movie)......the one where Soren is up on the mountain with his arms outstretched and the nexxus ribbon is approaching him. That shot just blows me away every time i see it.

Another one i love is from the new movie, the shot where the escape pods are leaving the Kelvin in front of the huge fireball.

They both just leave me in awe. Do you have any?

These two always gave me an impression of two massive ships, fighting like a couple of heavyweight boxers in round 12 - both seriously wounded, but neither willing to give in.

Don't have a pic but in TSFS the Enterprise's remains streaking across the Genesis sky as she burns up the atmosphere while Kirk watches.

(an effect I believe was done using pencil graphite - so much for CGI!!)

I always liked the Bird of Prey hovering over the whaling ship from IV.

Wow kevin...that's one of the first shots I thought of, when I read the title of this thread. I LOVE the dialog between Kirk and Bones: Kirk-"My God Bones...what have I done"? Bones-"what you had to do, what you always do Jim...Turn death, into a fighting chance to live".

Here's the shot: http://movies.trekcore.com/gallery/a...tsfshd1302.jpg

Yep, for this movie, the Ent rising out of the rings. Great shot. TMP, the first glimpse of the Ent in dry dock, as Kirk & Scotty approach, looking up at an angle from behind as she's slowly unveiled behind the structures of the drydock. Khan, all burned and scarred, as he rises up beside the controls for the Genesis device, to spit his last breath at Kirk! The ice cliffs shot in TUC, as Bones and Kirks escape from Rura Penthe?, the music helps make that shot too. Insurrection, the Ent with the plasma streaming behind it. Generation, the Ent crash, the one where it impacts the landscape. Just to be different, any of the spacedock shots in TSFS. TFF, where the beam of lights, flashes from the surface of the planet in front of the ent. Back to TWOF, Spock giving the Vulcan salute, with Kirk on the other side of the glass. FC, the borg queen decending into her bodysuit. Nemesis, Shinzon on the steps with the lights behind, promising, but the rest of the movie didn't deliver. (why didn't they just have Patrick Stewart play a double role in that movie?) Thats my lot, well there is more but enough for now!!

The shot of the Enterprise-E swooping in to save the Defiant in First Contact.

Again from FC, the Phoenix spreading it's nacelles for the first flight. Also the Vulcan landing gets me, but then it is supposed to.

There's a ship shot in Generations but I can't remember where it's from. And I like the shot of Picard beaming down alone to the planet.

In the new movie I did actually like the whole opening with the Kelvin, and Captain Rabau's (sp?) shuttle landing on Nero's ship. (Gasp! I actually liked something from the new movie!)

I think I have more but it's remembering them.
