I do appreciate that a new ship was need for the movie. but there are some things on it that could have remained the same.

As always, deg, your Enterprise is absolutely awesome! It is by far the best re-interpretation of the original I have ever seen. The only thing I miss about your re-do is the blue illumination behind the deflector dish. Everything else is fantastic! The original Enterprise is a beautiful ship and your interpretations do it great justice. The Abramsprise pales in comparison.

That probably would have been a great idea. I wish they had. The ship would have been worlds better looking.

Yes, 12 is in the early pre-production phase. With a projected 2011 release date.
