I love both, seen all of SG1 many times over plus the Movie. Seen Stargate atlantis to the current episode (The kindred pt2). Cant wait for the ark of truth to come out.

Well, hey, Star Trek took all of the Scifi ideas lol, Stargate used tiny bits and pieces(probably without knowing it) from Star Trek and made them their own and it worked out great, I could look at any Scifi show and say that they stole idea's from Star Trek. I mean, wow, 5 series...over 800 episodes, 10 movies (11th in the making) Star Trek has almost covered everything lol

I hated the Movie back in the early 90's, and did not start watching SG-1 until about 4 years ago, lol the same time Atlantis came on the air.

But, right now I like SG-1, and Atlantis. They are really great shows, and it only took Atlantis 2 season to get good.

I didn't hate the movie but it was pretty straight forward. I didn't like that it advertised as "see this not star trek"

I got invovled some 2 years ago.

I didn't get into Stargate SG1 until it moved to the Sci-Fi Channel. I find myself more into Stargate Atlantis, the writers sneak in something about Star Trek in their episodes.
