Hi,

Has anybody bought this set?

Does it contain the full original mini series and the RAZOR Unrated Extended Edition?

I googled but there are differing reports.

What are the extra features like?

Also, why didn't they wait for THE PLAN to be released and include that?
Will the whole set get rereleased with THE PLAN included?

Yes, it should contain both the miniseries and the unrated version of RAZOR.

My blu-ray Complete Series set includes those.

Hmmmm....I don't know if they'll rerelease with The Plan (but I'll get that separate on blu-ray anyhoo.)

The blu-ray case also came with a cool Centurion figurine.

Tons of extra features on the blu-ray set....but there should be tons o' features for the DVD set too. Not quite as interactive as the blu-ray set...but definitely should be enough to satisfy fans' thirsts.

Picture in picture commentary during episodes....a who's who/what's what in Galactica during episodes...a glossary of the unique terms heard in the show. You can turn these on/off at will.

As for other features...the usual mix of featurettes (gotta be tons of them), video blogs, interviews, etc.

When I watched part one of the miniseries, some of the picture in picture interviews with showrunner Ron Moore were actually from "The Lowdown" which was aired just before the miniseries in 2003. But there were also brief interview bites from series cast and crew. You could also have The Oracle activated which brings up info about the characters and technologies and ships portrayed in the show. Each of those are usually two or three small pages of info.

If you liked Michael and Denise Okuda's text commentaries in the Star Trek Special Edition movie discs.....think that well beyond the next level.

I already have the individual season sets plus the TV movie Razor on separate copy. Although The Plan currently is not even listed as upcoming on Play.com etc so I don't know when it's even being released in the UK.

Webisodes are in both individual and boxed sets.
