From SCiFi Forums here's a paste of the Nielson ratings (I think). See below- Enterprise moved me when I finally got the characters and accepted them. All about character, and I still felt that Ent had the best chemistry overall. This allowed me to overlook all the story flaws (which they had in abundance). Ya buy it or ya don't. Call it a guilty pleasure if you will!!! ------------------------------------------- Topic: Ratings for Enterprise (joxerfan -- Today, 05:23 PM) ............................................ Ghost Hunters International - 1.5 ECW - 1.4 Stargate Atlantis - 1.3 The Hive - 1.2 (a Sunday night 9 PM premiere) Snake King - 1.1 (7 PM Sunday) King Cobra - 1.1 (11 AM Sunday) Ghost Hunters - 1.1 Boa vs. Python - 1.0 (1 PM Sunday) Jericho - 1.0 - in the Enterpise time slot Silent Predators - 1.0 (5 PM Sunday) Source: Nielsen Galaxy Report, 2/11/08 -- 2/17/08 Interestingly, Jericho did no better than Enterprise sometimes does, even though it had more than twice as many regular viewers, plus people have had much less chance to see it. |

Well not bad for a show that's been off their air for what 4 years now (ENT)?
Jericho reminded me too much of a series verion of "The Day After" Tv movie. This film was directed my Nick Myer also!

Enterprise has grown on me. The first two seasons were weak, but did have a few good episodes. Season 3 is one that I haven't caught much of still, but I'd like to. Season 4 was easily the greatest Trek we'd had since Voyager's earlier seasons. As I've said on these forums in the past, I actually think Enterprise is better than Voyager.

Well I guess we all have our favorites...hmmm
I don't think we'll ever agree on that one. But I guess the Day After was just a movie but really was there ever a relation between the movies.

Wow the Sci-Fi channels ratings are right in line with Adult Swim, which airs late at night. I would have thought ratings for Stargate and other shows would have higher ratings. At one time didn't Battlestar Galactica have about 3 million per show? But, I think I read on trekmovie.com that Enterprise has about 1 million on average, which is good for a show that was canceled. |

The more I've looked at ratings systems the more I'm seeing is that Stargate right now has around the same amount of ratings.
That's been difficult to face. It's led me to the conclusion that they MUST have concelled the show because of the contraversy it was creating in Trek and not just because of the ratings slup. I think they had to see that it was failing on some level with the fans and that there was upset like you said in the UPN network. They didn't advertise Enterprise and Voyager in the same way. Voyager was very loud...very out there. Enterprise must have been viewed as forgetable or ...secondary where Voyager LITTERALY launched the network and remained it's main fixture for all SEVEN years...

Well, ENT was on a network, which requires higher ratings. Stargate is on cable, which high ratings are not expected.
that is a quick answers for that, not detailed, so don't stun me... |

The truth is nothing on the SCi Fi channel has ver high ratings...but like you said it's about the Sci fi not the ratings....
I still wish SG-1 was still on...but I'm glad they cancelled it I didn't like the new team.
