Talking So I just got back from....

....a LIVE show of Rifftrax (the MST3K crew) doing a live riff show of Plan 9 From Outer Space.
It was ****ing brilliant.
They even included a short to riff on; "Flying Stewardesses".
I wasn't even certain Plan 9 was "riffable"; but they just cut into it with amazing wit and skill.
I have never heard a full theater audience laugh out loud so hard, so often in all my theater going experiences.

They had been sending me emails about that for ages. Glad to hear it was good

I envy you. You must live in or near a big, hip city, right? *sigh*

I'm in Detroit; where we shoot people.....and I'm not even American. O.o
Yeah, that's hip.

Although there is Ann Arbor, but they're more pretentious than hip, now.
Anyway, the show was utterly amazing; they were broadcasting like from Tenesee across the country to 400+ theatres!
There were a couple of tech hiccups during the short that were only seconds long, and didn't take away from anything; after that, everything shone like brilliance.
My face still hurts from either laughing so much, or just wearing a smile for such a lengthy period of time.
Matter of fact, I haven't laughed or smiled like that in years.

Several years ago, I used to live in Kalamazoo...that was a pretty cool place. Well away from Ann Arbor or Detroit though. Only time I went through either of those places was on my busrides between WV and MI, whenever I was in between bands.

Used to go clubbing in downtown Detroit....City Club it was.
Just one of those places you were convinced you could contract an STD just by stitting down.

Contract an STD, you mean, Wade? (I'd think you'd be happy about that!)
