Default Trek mini-series...For or Against?

Was reading on another site some comments about a Trek mini-series. Most posters were pretty positive about the prospect. Some wanted a mini-series to right Enterprise's final episode. Just wanted to see what you guys think on this forum.

Well if it was about Enterprise - I'm not a fan so wouldn't watch it. Other than that, it would depend on what the story was about.

How about a story that somehow brings characters from all the incarnations of ST to some focal point where they must work together to get back to where they belong. No writer, just a general idea of something I would love to see.

I'd like to see a mini-series in the prime universe. Perhaps something that takes us beyond Voyager and Nemesis.

Personally, I'm not big on crossovers - especially since something that brought all incarnations of ST together would invariably involve time travel or some similar kind of technique to allow it to happen.

And it would probably strain credulity to do it.

However, a stand-alone mini-series not connected to any characters or any series so far made could perhaps work.

Maybe something on the Earth-Romulan War, The Tomed Incident, etc

I'd take an Earth-Romulan War mini-series. One could maybe reference Enterprise a bit.

I would like to see that. Just had a thought, perhaps they could do annual or semi annual shows, with not necessarily a starfleet crew, but maybe the Klingons, or an origin story of the Borg.

Or they could do something with Tarses IV - you have Kirk but only as a kid and you could factor in some relevance to the challenges facing the world today with food supply etc.

Kodos the Executioner!

I guess Kirk never had to deal with that in the alternate reality. Seems like he stayed on Earth the whole time.

There's plenty of room for it to have happened. Just because we're not told so, doesn't mean anything.

i.e given Kirk's age in Star Trek, it could have happened prior (which is why the family is on Earth) or it could have happened afterwards (they left Earth).
