Hi was thinking to myself after reading the fourm since i been here How about ( Jonathan Archer ).
Do u think Jonathan Archer would fit into this movie some where in the timeline. Well if u look up the enterprise 's Memory Alpha in the ships site it says archer was part of the cemerny to the new Enterprise Launch but Robert April was there all through the Enterprise's Construction. Jonathan was present for launch but he died the next day. So is it possisble that Archer might have a place in this movie somewhere in the Enterprise Concrutiton. I certainly hope so -- it's semi-canon. Technically, the screen mentioning it was the one of two Archer bio shots created that weren't actually shown onscreen, so it's not EXACTLY canon. If they can't bring in Bakula for a cameo, I'd like to see some buildings named after him, or a statue, etc.
I'm always going to be a fan of integrating ENT into the franchise more thoroughly, considering the terrible job ENT's production staff (before Coto's brilliant-but-too-late work) did on that side of the equation. Apparently, the ST staff are tossing in nods to the various series in the franchise -- ENT would be the easiest to do. I know I'd get goosebumps if the NX-01 were in the shot for the NCC-1701 launch! Or, dare I dream it, something like this... ![]() |

This would be a good way to establish when Archer died and how.

It is in this picture that I first realize that there are shadows in warp flight... how can that be?

Warp Engines don't really make you go faster than light, they just warp the space around you so it appears you're travelling faster than light. That's how there can be shadows.
Check this out for a full explanation. http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Warp_engine |

I dunno. I doubt they would try to get all the details. How long is the movie?

Ummm since ENT happend 100 years before TOS, having Archer in this film would be impossible, or at the very least unbelivable.
Archer was in his what mid-40's dueing ENT? That would make the charater 140-something years old.... Plus I allways figured he died bravely during the Earth-Romulan wars (or at some point after), when I am sure he got called back into command.
