Question Soran's actions on Amargosa

When Amargosa was attacked by an apparent outside force, was it really Soran who was responsible for the entire massacre? I mean, he knew no one would agree to his terms in changing the nexus' path, so the only solution for him was to kill everyone aboard, including the Romulans, destroy the station, and make it look like an accident. To make it seem like it was all an attack, he burried himself in bulkheads to make it seem like he was innocent. I mean, this makes sense due to the fact that he was the only living surviver on the station.

However, what makes it even more strange is that Data said there were five or so lifeforms were still alive on the station, yet they only saved Soran. Hmm....

That's something I never noticed. I'll have to watch again or read the script.

No Soren wasn't directly responsible for it. The Romulans wanted their property back after Soren didn't deliver what they wanted/he promised. So he was indrectly responsible. But I never saw any indication that he killed everyone. I think he was lucky and lived through the attack, since the Romulan ship had obviously left.

Well we can assume that Riker and co wasn't the only search party on the station. it owuld have wasted film time to find the others. But a line of dialouge could have solved that.."Well, luckily our teamns found all 5 ofd the survivors."...shame they didn't do it

Seriously! I mean the only other conclusion I can come up with is that the rest of them died before the away team arrived.

This movie has a lot of Plot holes in it...

lol, the Commentary is very fun to listen to, you should try playing it the next time you watch it. Ron Moore makes fun of his own writing a lot.
...it was his first screen play.

I just assumed other temas had found the other survivors, since they were not important to the story, they kinda got forgot.

Genrations for me would have been much better if they'd waited a 1-2 years after TNG to make it and wasn;t trying to make it during the last season of TNG. For me, everybody sounds late for work. All lines sound rushed.

The script wasn't bad, it just needed a few more rewrites and this might have been the "ultimate" Trek film.

Yeah, however the soundtrack wasn't the best either. And sometimes a soundtrack is what makes a movie.

A soundtrack can definately help alot, but it cannot compensate for bad writing.....
