I loved the film. I thought it did exactly what it needed to do: breathe new life into a franchise that was starting to get stale, by returning to and polishing up its roots. The characters were great, the special effects were top-notch, and the story was epic and moving. There's only TWO things I think could have been done better:

- The Sexyprise's size. Small or big, just pick one, though I'd prefer it were closer to the original's size.
- Uhura. For such a "strong female character," she seemed to serve little more purpose than constantly "tongue-meld" with Spock.

For an even most amazing film experience, I would say that the writers could consider introducing Nurse Chapel in the next film. I've always liked her along with the other great characters in TOS.

Uhura could also be given more screen time. Dialogue between her and Nurse Chapel could also develop both characters.

Other characters that might be introduced:

Yeoman Janice Rand
Number One (from "The Cage")

If you're gonna do all that then it simply must have an Enterprise Girls Gone Wild addendum DVD otherwise it's pretty much a waste of effort.

Oh, I'm sure you'll see Nurse Chapel in the next one(we heard Bones call out her name in this one), and maybe Yeoman Rand.

You won't see number one...because Spock is the first Officer. And number one...became Nurse Chapel.

If so, only one scene for each. Rand would be eye candy anyways. Not a bad thing but Trekkies would be unhappy so I wouldnt even bother. To give them parts with multiple scenes makes things much too unwieldly. The only way the series got away with it was shuffling around the parts so some of them do not appear on the same episode at the same time, or very minimal to be in compliance with SAG rules.
