The Movie did what it set out to do, save Trek for us all, and bring these charaters to a new generation.

This movie was the best movie of 2009 and remains so. I hope it wins the Oscar for Best Picture!

The only thing that needed to be improved was the engine room, but that's so trivial, it's hardly worth mentioning any more.

Spock Lives!

Yes, it was a good new start. So much science fiction and
other competition, it keeps Star Trek moving forward.

Hard to believe how TNG looks like a low budget endeavor compared
to modern stuff.

Star Trek gives the needed boost to story and characters, as
well as the art and effects.

If they make an Oscar category for most controversial
engine room, they would easily win!

Oscar for sound or visual would be my guess, but hard
to say who will be nominated, will be fun to find out!

I think they made the movie so that new fans can get into the whole Star Trek universe. I have watched the original series on Sci Fi and then when the new film came out. I went with my stepdad and his mum, and I loved every single moment of the film and I have got the original series season 1 on dvd anyway, Do you think it is for new fans and old fans.

It's called punctuation. Look into it.
