Default Deep Space Nine, The Continuance

Can someone tell me if there is a novel that picks up right where DS9 leaves off? I truly hope there is. Thanks!

If you go by the relaunch series, he comes back in the novel Unity.

Was there not a 'virtual' 8th season of books?

Yep that's what we're talking about. DS9 Relaunch. Start with Avatar, or the omnibus Twist of Faith which is the first four (or possibly five -- and a half -- how does a Novella and a two-parter fit in to any attempted count?) stories.

They've actually gone quite a bit with DS9 set immediately after the end of the series. The most recent books, however, are dealing with issues from the Mirror Universe, but that's going to apparently end soon as they plan to bring DS9 in line with the other 24th-Century books (TNG and VOY) in the post-Nemesis era.

Well, it was about time that race did that. Why they dithered for so long was beyond me.

It's true that Fearful Symmetry and Soul Key (and possibly even Warpath) had quite a few Mirror Universe aspects to them. What I hear is the next DS9 book after Soul Key is about the history of Rugal post 2nd season up to and just beyond the end of the Dominion War. Then after than I think it will be good to see them getting more in touch with what's going on aboard the station. (Would have been nice to see more DS9 characters in Destiny trilogy)
