If "Alternative Factor" is the episode with this bearded guy they find on that planet who fights against his evil antimatter-twin-brother form an antiuniverse - this episode is not just the worst Star Trek episode, its just one of the worst stories that ever made it on TV.

Spocks Brain is close second.

Then there where also some bad or campy or boring epiosdes. But Alternative Factor: That was just a big empty nothing.
Really a story from an anti-universe - an anti-story

obsession is an episode that just didnt gel with me for some reason. i know spocks brain has been mentioned several times here and probably rightly so but there is a entertainment/fun factor about it which makes it fun viewing at least - even tho it is a ludricrous storyline.

cheers

I like "The Way to Eden" for the same reason.

I can understand the affection for Spock's Brain...or, really, any episode...but I have a hard time understanding why Obsession would be seen as anything other than a good episode.

I agree about The Alternative Factor, and I'll add The Squire of Gothos (Trelane got on my nerves) and The Empath just plain sucked! I think the Vians were Talosian wannabees
Just my two credits,
Jim

BTW I know a lot of people don't like Spock's Brain but I always thought it was a fun episode. A planet full of women in mini-skirts and I love Dr. McCoys comment about how he shouldn't have reconnected Spock's mouth to his brain

The hippies were funny.
"stiff man puttin my mind in jail, the judge banged the gamble and yelled no bail."
Of course I remember that from Ben Still at the aniversary.

That's when Trek was good.

I have a similar view on Spock's Brain, it was really kinda fun and it's definitely one I watch fairly regulary on DVD.

I have to wholeheartedly disagree with you on The Squire of Gothos, it's one of the top 10 episodes of Star Trek in my book, while Trelane can be annoying, that's what makes him so great.
