Cool The Moon Has a Smell

The Moon actually smells like used gunpowder. You can't smell anything on the Moon itself, for obvious reasons, but once you tramp moondust back into your spacecraft....

See: http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2...ofmoondust.htm

There's a joke here about "gas" and "mooning" people, but I haven't had enough coffee to make it really.... flow.

I'm not surprised about the burnt gunpowder smell. After all the moon has been the shooting range of the solar system for just about every small asteroid this side of Mars, hence the craters. Not to mention that after October 8th it will have just that much more of a gunpowder smell after NASA bombs it.
