Unhappy Autobahn Accident Involves 259 Cars

Dozens of people were wounded, some critically, in a 259-car pile-up on one of Germany's main superhighways.

mabye our German posters can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that there is no speed limit on the Autobahn in stretches, but there are speed limits in higher traffic/urban areas.

Maybe the should consider rubber bumpers around the vehicles, like bumper cars....lol...

Yeah, I read that only certain stretches have no speed limits, too.

It used to be that way in Montana, but they changed it.

There are limits near cities and across bridges or in curves, but generally there is no speed limit.

But, if I remember right, isn't there warning signs before you enter the highway?
