indeed, although I've rarely come across anyone who can make any sensible arguement against JarJar (die jar jar die doesn't do it and there was the whole internet bandwagon that people got caught up on) - "getting on your nerves" is an exception of course as it is about personal taste.... but consider this....

you've reasonably stated JarJar gets on your nerves
JarJar is one of the most hated movie characters of all time
there was a lot of websites devoted to hating JarJar
people have devoted a lot of time to hating him

seems to me JarJar did exactly what he was created for - convinced an awful lot of people he was real

anyway its silly to compare Keenser and Jar Jar - they were nothing alike in personality or impact

Keenser is here to stay and TREK iis all the better for it

Not angry at all. Just think Jar Jar was a waste of effort. I purposely spelled it wrong...to see who would notice, you make 4 in a year and half who have noticed.

how was he a waste of effort? the character accomplished what it was intended to by its creators - a CGI character that looks real - you belittle the efforts of the artists involved

btw, which word did you purposely spell wrong, and which was accidental?

I just don't care at all.
Where as Jar was a massive annoyance with a huge part...this guy barely speaks.
I sneezed at it at first but I'm moving on.

Scotty never had a "sidekick", nor did he need one. And he doesn't need one now. Be gone with him!

So we need a CGI charater just for the sake of keeping animators employed? What part did he really play in the film? He didn't do anything, unlike every other charater in the movie.

Mispells you nedd to figure out...lol..

EXACTLY!!

Keenser was just another aspect to how this movie completely disregarded Trek and decided to go for easy, cheap laughs. I actually liked the puffy hands thing, but Keenser... NO!

Awwww... he's cute!
Awwww... that's funny!
