If you look at te shadows of the objects the arrows are pointing to, you'll see that they are far more geometric-looking than those of the surrounding rocks...

But yes, they've already promised to be taking more hi res photos in the future. Maybe then we'll be able to lay the "Moon landing hoax" morons to rest.

Aren't the Japaneese planning a low orbit unmanned moon mapping mission? I thought I heard something about that.

They did that already, about two years ago. Beamed back HD images of the Moon.

Cool! Thanks. But what I heard about was upcoming and that they were going to map potential landing sites (for them), and look at the Apollo sites. Maybe it was this mission?

There were two other probes, one Chinese, and one Indian, that followed the Japanese probe. Offhand, I'm not sure of their mission specs. Here's some more information:
