Default If Orbital Skydiving Becomes an Olympic Sport....

... it may be due to the efforts of those who are participating in the "air sports" section of the World Games, currently being held in Taiwan.

The WG is kind of a "farm team" for Olympic sports, in the sense that only non-Olympic sports can be played in them, and yet the fact that those sports are played in the WG may be a point in favor of their consideration for inclusion in future Olympics.

Of course, orbital skydiving is not even in its infancy; while very high altitude skydiving has occurred, there are apparently no instances as of yet in which anyone has parachuted from orbital heights.

If they have synchronized swimming and gymnastics with those ribbon things, I suppose we can have sky divers jumping out of suborbital planes. Might as well.
