Well the original actors were considering giving it up, but from what I've read and heard, they finally signed the contract and will do the final two movies (Deathly Hallows is being split into two movies).

HBP was my favorite book of the series, so I'm looking forward to the movie. I'll get around to it soon.

So, I'm assuming the theater was packed since you were sitting on the second row.

Let's put it this way: the parking lot, which on a good day of business is 1/2 full was packed, and there were lines to get into the auditoriums . I tried to fight for 4 seats next to each other closer to the back (myself and 3 lady-friends) but my efforts were in vain, so we had to go down to the very front.

I'm going to wait for a while before I venture near a theater!

I and my roomie and his girlfriend saw it tonight. Good movie. A little slow paced, and definitely more docile compared to the last couple of films. Having read the book before seeing this kinda took away some of the emotional impact this movie would've otherwise had on me at moments....still, a good time to be had.

Apparently the figures speak for themselves.

I have to admit, I personally find it the worst book of the series, so I'm not going to catch it this weekend but next instead. It should also be quieter then too.

Kevin, this movie was so surprisingly quiet that the theater was quiet...except of course for people laughing in the right places, and then at that, it was more tongue in cheek humor, so the laughter was also very quiet.

I loved it. This is my favorite book. I was expecting it to be good because I hated the book Order of the Phoenix. But, I loved the movie and the same director handled this one. I think the kids are a tad old, but I'm glad they chose to stay with the same actors. It would be way too jarring to have a new Ron or Hermione. Radcliffe is so short, he could probably play Harry for another 10 years.
