Well, I went to see it 6 times, which is something I've never done before. I'm really looking forward to the DVD and the books that are coming out based on the movie.

It is still playing here in one theater, despite HP's release. Who knows...I might just sneak in one more time.

??????????????
I still feel fine. I knew it wouldn't be a 10 year run like on Broadway. The DVD will be out in a few months and I'll feel fine about that too. Then in about a year and a half there will be a new movie and that'll make me still feel fine.

I'm fine about it.

The question reminds me of a very interesting observation that Cameron Crowe gave on the commentary for the UK DVD of 'Vanilla Sky'.

I forget the exact words but his main point was that there is a journey a film goes on.

Idea, pre-production, production, promotion, release, DVD release, TV premiere, all ending up in it being put on as filler at 2am on some TV channel somewhere a few years down the line.

He said it way more eloquently of course, but he's right. This part of the film's journey is coming to and end, and the next (DVD and Blu-ray release) is now on the horizon.

That's so true, but we can take solace in the fact we can bank on Trek 12 happening, and not having Trek go the way of the 8-Trac tape.

*sniff* So true, so true . It's the circle of life - for everything there is a time, but it must come to pass. Star Trek will live on in our hearts, and in our TV cabinets, and on our computers. We must *sob* move on. The sky's the limit.

I hope it comes back to theaters before going to DVD.

I'd like to check it out one more time before it's gone, only seen it twice, so definitely would like to see it on the big screen one more time.

But definitely looking forward to the DVD release!

I don't particularly mind because I've seen it 3 times on the big screen and I have another way to watch it before it comes out on DVD so it's all good.

I wanted to catch it one last time, but alas... it disappeared from this area 2 weeks ago. Now I'm psyched for the blu-ray release!
