Question Horror Story! Military Robot Could Feed on Dead Bodies?

Let's keep in mind the source of the following story and the fact that much of it seems to consist of "spin" by that source.

The source, by the way, is Fox News.

Oh, yeah... that's how these things start... then, somewhere down the road, you end up with a titanic corn bugle that ingests entire planets for fuel...

hahaha. I love how the entire article makes it seem as if the military has created satan in robot form. The military is not going to send this thing out to just gobble up dead bodies, it's probably not going to even allow the thing to consume bodies.

ahh, Fox News (or Faux News, as I refer to it) always seems to deliver some laughs.

I thought "Faux News" was supposed to like the military! Someone there must not have gotten the memo.

Still... a pretty good idea for a movie... so far, I don't think anyone has done a "robot uprising" film where the robots goal is to eat us!

Just because the thing COULD use a body as fuel does not mean it WILL. There are lots of other biomass fuels the thing could use. It seems the engineers went pretty far to make sure the thing could use just about any established fuel source.

I'll tell you something, if a combat situation ever arose where one of these could take out an enemy location and save the lives of many troops, but it's power source was depleted and the only thing nearby was a body, I would order the thing to use the body as fuel.

A steam powered engine? Doesn't seem like it could get up enough power to haul much.
