I agree. That's a nacelle cap. But that little object floating just above the nacell might be him.

I think these little inserts are so small and so fast that they are pointless. I never waste my time looking. What would be great is if we saw R2D2 rolling down one of the corridors as people go about their business, even if the shot was only a second or two long. This other junk of seeing him, when he looks like space junk or debri, it's pointless.

I totally don't see it.

There was a scene in the movie, when Spock and Kirk are on the Narada and find Spock Prime's ship. As they enter the "hangar" in the background, on the left side of the screen there are a couple of objects - I could have sworn one on them looked just like r2d2.

It looks like another piece of junk to me. It looks silvery and not shaped at all like R2-D2.
