Default I can't believe I made it to 53!

Wow! I looked in the mirror this morning just before I hopped into the shower, and I couldn't believe it! There was an older guy in there!!! Then I realized that I made it to 53 today! I used to think that a 50 year old person was soooo old. Not anymore! I'm glad I made it, and I'm glad that my health seems to be improving. When I turned 50, I almost died from blood clots. Now I have 10 vertabrae fused in my neck, they can't fuse anything else, so now, I am getting better! I am learning how to deal with pain better, and I am doing well with it.

54 on the 29th of this month. Another milestone for me as well. Had some health issues once I crossed the big 50!

I know what you mean! I can hardly believe it, but I'll be 16 this November. The years seem to go by faster... my childhood seems so distant...

lol EDIT: tongue in cheek intended

What IS it about 50? I had some neck problems most of my adult life, but I lived with them. I worked with them. Then 50 HIT! I hope you have a great 54th Birthday!!! I also hope your health problems have gotten better. I get so depressed with the problems sometimes and I know it makes it worse, but I can't help it.

I got the Blu Ray Trilogy for my Birthday! I love it, it looks great. I wish I had of just gotten the 6 movies now, with all the extras. I also got 3 more Blu Ray DVDs, Stir of Echoes, Chain Reaction, and Superman The Movie. I haven't seen Chain Reaction yet. Anyone care to tell me if it's good?

I have been sixteen for more than six months now, and although here in Scotland for most legal purposes (getting arrested, marriage, sex - although not others such as driving, drinking and smoking) I am an adult - I still consider myself a child!

There are few differences from when everyone considered me a child, mostly superficial - and in my head I am still eight years old (and have been for the past eight and a half years!)

____

And congratulations to those past fifty - may you always be as a child!

Happy Birthday, Omegaman and Beetlescott!

It'll be 53 for me, come December. I sure don't feel it in my heart and in my head....but the joints say otherwise. Pass me that bottle of Motrin!!
