I just found out about the name change this morning (I don't get around that often. If you heard about this months ago, sorry!) and I have one question in mind for you guys: How do you guys feel about the name change? (same Pronunciation, different wording) Are you happy about the name change, or angry about it, mixed feelings, or you don't care?

I wasn't sure whether to answer angry or don't care. Angry isn't quite how I feel, I just think it's a stupid change.

Probably some advertising exec. pitched it as "SyFy" is the new Sci-Fi and got a lot of money for making a network go to the trouble and expense of making the "minor change" to everything with the old logo. But that is the way those things sometimes work.

NBC had a short "experiment" with a new logo, I think back in the 80's? No one liked it. It was even parodied on SNL. It, the logo style, did not last long and they went back to a modified peacock symbol. :-)

I long for the friday nights where they had SG1, Atlantis and then BSG. Scifi or Syfy have not had a lineup that solid since.

All-in-all they actually don't seem to be too bad.
Can do without ECW Wrestling and WCG Ultimate Gamer (WTH?) and would gladly take Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International over those.

Not crazy about the whole Anime Monday thing though.
I friggin hate Anime and the accompanying Otaku who make hardcore basement Star Trek fans look like poster children for living "acceptably normal lives".

Hey now whats wrong with a small amount of Anime on Mondays. SC-Fic use to show Saturday Morning Anime back in the day. A lot better then most of the crap they call cartoons now a days.

I voted mixed, because It perplexes me. Because this change is stupid and silly. Why change a perfectly good descriptive name for something that sounds like it belongs on a box of washing detergent? I just don't get it.
