Default First "Star Trek" Arcade Video Game -- in 1972!

From various sources, the following arcade video game wasn't a licensed use of the "Star Trek" name. Nevertheless, it has a historic quality: It was reportedly the second console game of any kind ever introduced, the first being Nutting & Associates' "Computer Space."

Google "Nutting & Associates Computer Space" and you will find some references of relevance. You can also find references at

Note the very inaccurate depictions of the Enterprise and what appears to be an enemy (or at least nonstandard Federation) vessel.

Keep in mind that this console came out just three or four years after Star Trek left the network airwaves.

"Star Trek" was a clone of "Computer Space". Both games were arcade versions of "Spacewar". The late 70s version of Spacewar is available for MAME.
