Yeah, I know this is somewhat old news, but the phraseology of it made me laugh. I mean, "bomb the Moon"?

This brought to mind the question: If Earth had to fight off alien invaders, what kind of shape would we be in? Not very good, I would say. As far as we know.

The bomb hits what many believe is the true target which is extraterrestrial buildings known to be on the far side of the moon.

Of course, they may just be aiming at a stunted martian in Roman armor with a dog, an Acme disintegrator and a uranium P-238 space modulator. But that's just a theory. Nasa didn't say anything about putting a rabbit in that rocket did they?

What would happen if they broke the moon? Or maybe knocked it out of it's proper orbit or something? Wouldn't that pretty much kill us all? Just wondering.

That's probably why Nostradamus and the Incas said the world would end in 2012, We probably blow up the moon like a bunch of idiots and the tides go all wonky and the weather goes all berserk and tsunamis drown half the population and the few that manage to hang on get fried when the Earth get's pummled with left over pieces of the moon that scream down throught the atmosphere and explode with a force like 1000 neutron bombs. Oh well, the rocket's already on it's way, it's too late to worry now. Ya' think NASA could have at least asked the rest of us if we wanted to become extinct before they did this, but hey you know those wacky NASA guys! They're always doin' stuff like that.
