Has anyone else been having trouble with opening Google? I haven't been able to open their page for a day now on two different computers, yet I haven't seen anyone posting anything about it, which make sit seem like it's happening to just me.

I've been on it a few times the last couple days and had no trouble whatsoever, I'm afraid.
Don't know why you might be having trouble.

Bright Eyes, it might be your Internet provider.
Have you called them to see if they're having trouble? |

It's a mystery. I've never seen anything quite like this before. Thanks for your replies.

Are you using OpenDNS?

A reset of the modem appears to fixed the problem, but it still leaves me wondering why the problem existed at all.
All other broadband functions still worked. The only things that happened was that google wouldn't open at all, ST New Voyages would take about 2 minutes to open, and that the status bar would say it was trying open google when I was opening NV. Everything else was normal. Truthfully, I wouldn't expect a modem reset to fix this sort of problem, and the whole thing seems most illogical to me. Anyway, the problem appears solved now. Thanks.

Since restting the modem seems to have fixed it, it was probably due to your DNS cache being out of date, somehow...I have had to start clearing my DNS cache on a weekly basis, and that fixed it for me. Took me a month to figure it out, though.

Are you referring to google.com, or to Chrome? I haven't been able to open Chrome for a few weeks now.

But I'll probably uninstall Chrome because it doesn't have a way to quickly go backwards on viewed web pages; it only goes back one page at a time, which is a deal breaker for me. IE, FF and Opera (hidden in customize) all offer a pull down menu to allow faster page changes. You might want to reinstall Chrome if it's not opening.

If you click and hold the back button, Chrome shows you the list of previously viewed pages. You can just scroll down to the one you want. (when you hover your mouse over the arrow, it even says that)
