The writing and directing were equally atrocious. While some of the character-building moments were nice, they don't make up for Shinzon's poor motivation and the numerous plot holes. And frankly, after three movies, I was tired of Picard pretending he's Bruce Willis.

Seriously, nemesis is a real abortion of a movie. It was a taint on the franchise and I hope JJ Abrams and Roberto Orci hate it at least half as much as I do, and are able to see just how badly B&B handled the franchise over the years...

When i heard the script writer of gladiator was on board it sounded good. Then later i read that his original gladiator script was unusable so they had to bring in an outsider to fix it up.
The should have found that same outsider for nemesis.
I am sure orci and abrams would hate that film, they are creative geniuses after all.

The script wasn't bad... I personally don't have a problem with the movie as it is now, but I know it could've been better..

Script and Actors were fine, its just the director that gave the franchise an enema.

They should have at least let Johnathan Franks direct Nemesis, he did a good job on the other 2 films. Plus, being part of the "trek family", he would have gotten better performances from the rest of the cast.

But the idea of fighting an Evil Kirk.... Ooooo, nice idea. Maybe a mirror universe Kirk.

He found out that his good half was killed in a lame way, and came to get revenge , and take of the Galaxy while he was at it.

If stewart played both parts that would have been entertaining to see.

Of course the movie would have cost more. Paying him to do both parts.

I wish they would have used Lore instead of B4. I think it would have rounded up more loose ends left by the series. The B4 story leaves more unanserwed questions.

Oh and they could have brought in Thomas Riker and had a whole cast of evil duplicates.

A Mirror Universe TNG movie would have been the best choice.

Let the characters encounter their evil counterparts.

Going back perhaps to a time when the Terran Empire was dominant.
