Default why does it happen?

Hi,

why does bringing religion into a discussion on these forums get a thread locked?
I've been warned a few times that it would happen.

cheers

Because of the forum rules, thats why.

Quote:
Controversial Topics
Threads with controversial topics such as abortion, religion, or politics are not to be posted in Off Topic and will be removed. The same rules applies in the other forums. We also ask people not to use controversial or political topics in their avatars or signatures. It's important people consider the official movie forums a welcoming site to be on, not a place where people feel a need to defend themselves for who they are or what they believe.

It's kind of like banning all expression of religion in school when there's one Atheist kid who's offended by the actions of the other 999. Oh well.

but surely alot of topics have the possibilty of turning "controversial"
but suppose a thread was started discussing a religious topic than kept it "clean" - are they not even given a chance?
