And today I had my first behind-the-wheel lesson. The instructor only had to use his brake once

I got in trouble by a driving instructor when he put his foot on the break I hit the gas trying to find the brake I was just about to break when he did. SO I hit the gas cause in this car both break pedels went down when either one was pressed (might be true for all I dunno.)

AND today dad set up a parallel parking course with our family's vehicles I passed his test though. Also my instructor said I had nothing to improve upon in my second session.

I took a driving class in high school...the instructor would take three of us at a time in one car, put the rest of us in the other five cars available, and the car he was in would get to go on the road....if he had to use the 'chicken brake' you came back in, and had to wait till the next week. He never used that brake on me...and even had me come in after school to do some skid training... I told him that if I ever had the chance, I would hop into a race car, and he made sure I would know how to handle one. I was the only girl in his class that passed everything the first time...including when I went for my testing at the DMV...paper and road test, one time...I only had a learner's permit for nine weeks, before I got the real thing...so my parents never had to give me any lessons...both of my parents watched me do the skid test, and I scared them out of a few years worth of worry...my Dad told me after I was done that if he was ever too drunk to drive, he wouldn't hesitate to let me drive him home. Mom was glad that now I could go off with Dad, and she wouldn't have to care how we were gonna get home.

Haha! My instructor told my that I was "outstanding" at parallel parking and that I did it "by the book" in one attempt, without any messing around.
