TV Spokesman Billy Mays Passes Away
Billy Mays, best known to the public for his cheerful advertisements touting the benefits of Orange Glo cleaners and other household products, has died at home at age 50, reports say.
He was reportedly hit on the head during a rough landing at the conclusion of a recent flight and was interviewed by a local television station about the incident. An FAA spokesperson claimed that Mays was not wearing a seat belt at the time, according to TMZ.com. No cause of death was stated but authorities do not suspect foul play. A spokesman for the Discovery Channel, which had featured him in one of its programs, said, "Billy was a pioneer in his field and helped many people fulfill their dreams. He will be greatly missed as a loyal and compassionate friend." If this is the Oxy-Clean guy, then yes, I'm sorry for his family, co-workers, and friends...but not really tooooo upset. Now I can start watching infomercials again...maybe I'll start getting some sleep.

I use infomercials as a cheap sleep aid...but Billy and the ShamWow guy are too dam loud...so I had to quit watching them....Amazing how many famous people have gone in the last few weeks....Carradine, Fawcett, Jackson, Mays, McMahon....I sure hope there is a good long break in this... Maybe we will get some news of some nice weddings, soon, to offset all of this sad stuff.
