Yes it is sad that Michael Jackson has passed away. Yet I can't be to upset about it. In fact I feel there is a measure of relief in his passing. All his life that has been documented, he has led a tortured life. From abusive family life to having no childhood and in adult years living under a microscope. No amount of fame and fortune can shut away the ghosts that this man has been living with. Michael Jackson never asked to be a star...that was forced upon him and eventually the only thing he knew how to do. The only acceptance he could find. Sadly it was his undoing. Whether it be supposed drug abuse, over taxing his physical stamina, even physically altering his appearance takes a toll. Still ultimately, it was his lifestyle that killed him.
The second reason I am not upset at the passing of Michael Jackson is that I have never really cared for any of his music. I never went to any of his concerts or bought any of his albums. However I did have a Farrah Fawcett poster in my room as a young man.

Alrighty! I admit that I'm horridly sick and haven't eaten in a day, so that can excuse my lack of manners here:

I know he was a popular artist but why does his death get SO MUCH more media attention than Fawcett or Ed McMahon?

He was a far bigger celebrity and global face than they were, with a far more publicly scandal ridden life. Not to even mention his genuine musical impact in the late 1970s and early 1980s that has influenced countless artists since then.

Even if he himself was long past his best musically.

This is heartbreaking, but there's something here I wish people were talking more about. No matter how Mr. Jackson lived his life, no matter what he may have or may not have done, no matter what anybody may have had to criticize him with, Michael Jackson was not just a famous pop star. Michael Jackson was also a father, and his children have lost their daddy.

These kids have had the world ripped out from under their feet. I hope Fox News is wrong, but Geraldo brought up something that tears my heart to pieces because it is just so wrong, which is that in the wake of their father's death, these kids will probably become a tug-of-rope in custody battles and lawsuits over Michael Jackson's estate--all because of greedy people who will see the kids as a "golden pot at the end of a rainbow". Many people are going to be fighting over these kids, who are going to need love more than they may have ever needed it in their lives. I hope that there will be someone around them who will be unselfish enough to not care about a single dime where they're concerned, and will just give them the love that they can no longer receive from their father.

Please, pray for these kids. They will need it, I'm sure.

Personally, I personally don't think he molested those kids. He innocently claimed to have kids sleep at his home, but do I think he molested them? No. BUT, there is that possibility. Popular psychology tells us that if someone is molested then they may turn into a molester. Since MJ was molested by his uncle at a young age I sadly don't doubt it.

Even if he was not, his behavior was so weird it is easy to see how he was accused. He might have just been a very weird, childlike being or may have been a pedophile. Unless he left diaries or papers or something, we might never know first hand. Frankly, I hope he was not and that some of the people were out for money, but we might never know for sure.

Is there any evidence of this Saquist? I'll admit it does seem a bit unusual to get a heart attack at that age unless drugs were involved.

The basic problem with what you are saying here is that it was never proven that MJ molested anyone. In-fact he was cleared of all charges and the bastards who accused him were proven to have a history of conning celebs. I admit MJ was a little strange but it is my opinion that Michael truly was a kid who never grew up. He was NOT a child molester, he was a target. A misunderstood celeb with a bulls-eye on his back because he liked to spend time with children and had money. Michael Jackson was a talent who gave a lot of himself to the world. A caring man, a father and a HUMAN BEING. He should be mourned and he will be missed. Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon R.I.P!
